Introduction to Sewing - Beginning hand sewing and machine sewing
are taught in this class. We will start off with a sampler of handstitches and the student will learn the different
purposes for the stitches that are taught. An introduction on how the sewing machine works and how to safely use it follows.
A sampler is made of machine stitches and the student also learns about the different purposes of stitches and the comparison to
machine stitches. A simple hat and drawstring backpack are completed in this course.
